What is home infusion therapy?
Infusion therapy is an administration of medication or nutrition directly into the veins, also known as intravenous or IV administration. Home infusion therapy provides an alternative to extended stay in a hospital or nursing home.
Will my insurance cover home infusion therapy?
Most insurance plans cover home infusion services and medication. Our reimbursement specialists will work with your insurance company to obtain benefit verification and authorization before starting treatment.
Who will teach me how to administer my home infusion therapy?
A nurse, with specific infusion therapy training, will teach you how to administer the medication in your home.
Do you provide for pediatric patients?
Yes, MedPlus is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment in the home for our young patients and families. When it comes to our pediatric population we are a full-service provider including respiratory services, durable medical equipment, IV therapy, and pediatric RN’s.
What if something is missing or damaged from my delivery?
When your medication and supplies arrive please open and inspect them right away to insure you have everything and that nothing is damaged. If something is missing or damaged please contact our on call service for urgent needs at 833.998.8090 and leave a message.
